Cybersecurity Centre - CSIRT.IPSetúbal

The IPS Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT.IPSetúbal) is a service provided by the Cybersecurity, Infrastructure and Networks Centre of the IT Division at the Polytechnic University of Setúbal. This team specialises in IT security and has the expertise to detect, mitigate, resolve, handle and report incidents.

Misson

Contribute to cybersecurity efforts in the academic community through preventive and reactive measures and the promotion of a culture of security.

Services

The CSIRT.IPSetúbal team manages and reports incidents through:

    1. Identification of incident type: information gathering, fraud, abusive content, intrusion or attempted intrusion, or other types of incidents;
    2. Identification of the authenticity and vulnerability of the incident, performing an analysis of the impact caused;
    3. Taking necessary and essential measures with the aim of resolving the incident;
    4. Raising awareness among the IPS community by holding workshops, phishing campaigns, and security alerts.

Incident Reporting

The incident must be reported by email to report@csirt.ips.pt, with a detailed description of the incident.
