TERMS OF USE OF THE SETÚBAL POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY PORTAL

PURPOSE OF THE NOTICE/LEGAL TERMS OF USE
This page sets out the rights and obligations of users of the www.ips.pt portal. The portal is owned by IPS and is administered by the IPS Information System, which can be contacted via the IPS IT Division at apoio.informatico@ips.pt.

USE OF SERVICES
The user undertakes to use the services provided in accordance with the laws and regulations applicable in Portugal to this type of service. It is expressly prohibited to use the services of this portal to commit illegal acts, whether civil, criminal or otherwise, or to violate any third-party rights, and the user may be criminally punished.

The information contained in this portal is the property of IPS and may not be published or distributed without written authorisation. USER DATA
Users consent to the creation of usage statistics and connection logs. This data may be used for administrative and statistical purposes. IPS guarantees all users of this portal that their personal data will not be disclosed to external entities.

INFORMATION COLLECTED FOR STATISTICAL PURPOSES
When accessing the portal pages, different types of information are automatically collected, ranging from the user’s Geo Map location, to the pages they searched, the browser they use, as well as how they accessed the portal and how long they stayed on it, etc. This information does not identify the user and is collected purely for statistical purposes for the portal, with no individual statistics being compiled.

COMPLAINTS, COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS
All complaints received will be handled in accordance with the stipulated procedures, and the user will be informed. Complaints, questions, messages, comments and queries can be submitted to the IPS Information System via the following page: Compliments, Suggestions or Complaints

APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION
This contract is governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute relating to its validity, interpretation or execution, when attempts at conciliation have failed, shall be submitted to the competent courts, and for this purpose, the court of Almada is hereby designated as competent, with express waiver of any other. If one or more provisions of these terms of use are deemed invalid by application of a law, regulation or following a final court decision by a competent jurisdiction, the other clauses shall remain in full force and effect. In such cases, the parties agree to replace the clause declared null and void with a clause that most closely resembles the content of the clause initially established.

ACCEPTANCE AND BINDING
The user declares that they are aware of and accept these terms of use, thereby assuming all corresponding rights and obligations.
