Learning objectives and skills to be developed

The study of human movement is a fundamental competence for physiotherapy clinical practice. This course, focused on quantitative three-dimensional (3D) gait analysis, will allow students to understand the normal gait pattern and to use it as a reference when analyzing this task in patients with neurological conditions. Different components of 3D gait analysis will be addressed, including kinematic and kinetic data analysis. Reports will be used as a basis for the interpretation of biomechanical gait analysis of, considering patients´clinical evaluation.
