Degree objectives
The Master's Degree in Advanced Practice of Physiotherapy in Neurology presents a study plan that aims to meet the training needs of Physiotherapists working in the area of neurological conditions. The program was defined so that, throughout the first year, master's students have contact with users (real or simulated) in the Curricular Units (CU) of Advanced Practice in Neurological Physiotherapy I and II, promoting the integration of knowledge and clinical skills developed from other CUs (e.g. Exercise applied to neurological conditions; Neuroscience and motor control; Technology combined with Physiotherapy in Neurology; Advanced management of chronic neurological conditions). Thus, simulated and situated learning will be promoted, with discussion and analysis of its transfer to different contexts of practice. Models of physiotherapy practices in neurology will also be discussed and reflection on its professional practice will be promoted.
