SETÚBAL POLYTECHNIC REPORTING CHANNEL

The Polytechnic University of Setúbal, in its Code of Ethics and Conduct, identifies the following as Ethical Values and Principles:

    1. Respect for human dignity, an unconditional and inviolable value;
    2. Fundamental equality of persons in their rights and obligations towards others;
    3. Autonomy of the individual in their personal and professional development in connection with the internal and external community;
    4. Equal opportunities, justice, fairness and non-discrimination;

    6. Integrity and rigour in all activities, in the exercise and development of scientific, technical, pedagogical and professional skills;
    7. Excellence in activity, based on continuous improvement in quality and a commitment to the highest intellectual and ethical standards;
    8. Solidarity, tolerance and respect for diversity;
    9. Freedom of scientific, technical, pedagogical and cultural creation and innovation, responding critically and creatively to internal and external challenges;
    10. Law No. 93/2021 of 20 December established the general regime for the protection of whistleblowers. Therefore, in accordance with the terms of this law, IPS has made this reporting channel available. It is intended for any individual connected to IPS (students, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, researchers, scholarship holders, partners, suppliers and other interested parties) so that they can report, directly and confidentially, any unlawful practice or alleged irregularity.

There are two types of complaints available:

This channel is exclusively for reporting misconduct (abuse of power; moral or sexual harassment; conflict of interest; corruption; discrimination/prejudice; fraud and misappropriation of funds; theft/robbery; other illegal or unethical behaviour).
