Objetivos da aprendizagem e competências a desenvolver
The overall aim of the programme is to enable students to implement an innovative system, based on the best available scientific evidence, for the assessment and treatment of LBP, which associates specific treatment typologies with different subgroups at risk of developing persistent and disabling pain in their clinical practice contexts. Specifically, throughout the course the student will develop: - Knowledge and understanding of low back pain as a condition of high and increasing burden, its impact and the interaction between biological, psychological and social factors in the development of persistent and disabling low back pain; - Clinical skills in screening for red flags and the risk of developing persistent and disabling low back pain; - Clinical skills for typified physiotherapy intervention for low and medium risk subgroups of developing persistent and disabling pain (user education, manual therapy, and exercise).
